After trying this burger at the 626 Night Market I had to make one for myself (also to avoid the expense – $12 per burger)

I mainly used this site for the recipe but I edited a bit:

Time: ~1 hr

Servings: 3 burgers

Level: Simple

Ingredients: (I found everything at Ralphs)

  • 2 (3 ounce) packages instant ramen noodles (I used Bowl Noodle Soup Chicken flavor)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 tblspoon soy sauce
  • 1 tspoon sesame oil
  • 3 tblspoons vegetable oil (I just eyeballed the amount)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tblspoons Sriracha
  • 1 1/2 cups arugula
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 avocado (not necessary)


  • Cook the ramen noodles in water (I just microwaved) and put the sauce packets aside
  • Beat 2 eggs in a bowl and add in the sauce packets
  • Divide the noodles into 6 ramekins/bowls and flatten the noodles with other bowls or soup cans
  • Refrigerate until firm (~20 min)
  • Mix beef, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl and divide the beef into 3 patties
  • Heat a tblspoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet and invert the ramen bowls (tapping the bottom of the bowl until the ramen comes out)
  • Fry each ramen bun until crispy brown (about 3 min till flip)
  • Heat about 1 tblspoon vegetable oil in the skillet and cook the beef patties
  • Mix ketchup and sriracha in a small bowl and spread it over each ramen bun
  • Divide the arugula over 3 ramen buns and place the beef over the arugula
  • Heat about 1 tblspoon oil in a skillet and fry the remaining 3 eggs which will be placed on top of the beef patty


  • You can cut back on the oil and use a spray instead
