Ingredients: (found at Ralphs)

  • 6 apples – peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tblspoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tspoon ground cinnaom
  • 1/2 tspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 tspoon vanilla extract
  • Additional: vanilla bean ice cream

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 deg and grease a casserole dish with cooking spray
  • Place the apples in a bowl and mix the sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Stir the mixture into the apples and fold in the walnuts.
  • Spoon the apple mixture into the casserole dish and pour the milk evenly over it
  • Bake in preheated oven for 45-60 min, or until soft and bubbly
  • If vanilla bean ice cream is available definitely add that it!
