Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 cup Panko
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tblspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 tspoon pepper
  • 1 onion, diced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

(For sauce)

  • 2 tblspoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 tspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tblspoons honey

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 400 deg
  • In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch and 1/4 cup water
  • In a small saucepan, add soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic powder, honey and 1 cup water
  • Stir in cornstarch mixture until thickened, and then set the sauce aside
  • In a small pan, cook the onions for about 3 min
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, Panko, egg yolks, cooked onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and pepper
  • Stir to combine
  • Form meatballs and place on a baking sheet, and bake for 15 min
  • Serve meatballs immediately with the teriyaki sauce and garnish with sesame seeds

Comments:

  • Goes well with a side of rice
